It’s an exciting time in The Center Lane!

The Televangelist lobby has lost its grip on the Republican Party. Will John McCain realize that he no longer needs to pander to the Rovian “Base” to become President, now that he has secured the Republican nomination?  Although we’ve been getting loads of mixed messages from him, how far will he go to the center, and will he stay there if he gets elected?

The Democrats are looking away from the Clinton brand and all the baggage that comes with it, in favor of a candidate who offers the promise of a new vision and an inclusiveness we haven’t seen in a long time.  Speculation is rampant that an Obama cabinet would include a Republican face (or two) despite the Liberal Leftist moniker he has earned from the cable news pundits.

As this country sours on the divisiveness that is the lifeblood of talk radio, more people seem to have turned to the voices from the Center.  Senator Chuck Hagel has a new book that is gaining attention, as Republicans begin to look toward leaders, rather than the “authoritarian followers” who have crowded out anyone who could do the party any good, especially at a time when public  sentiment resoundingly attests that this country is (and has been) on the wrong course.

Here at TheCenterLane.com, you will have the opportunity to find some humorous takes on the rabid harping and spinning that fills the airwaves and the bandwidth where we seek the news.  The politicians, celebrities and other characters who consider themselves our leaders will be placed under a different microscope.  The consensus reality where we live will also be examined and poked.

As America snaps out of its Post-911 Trance, this website will offer an opportunity to re-focus.  It’s here if you want it.
